Asian Americans For Obama/ Chinese Americans For Obama

    Hi,

Since the 10/7 Presidential debate is coming and I am trying to write an article reviewing it from Chinese American supporter’s angle, I am writing to make an appointment for a telephone interview on Wednesday. Please refer me to some of your active Chinese members or leaders, who are willing to be interviewed on Wednesday. Thank you very much!

    Hello There,
I am a reporter with The Beijing News (Xin Jing Bao), a quality daily newspaper in Beijing. We are now working on a feature report about Chinese American’s perspective in election and current US economic situation.
I just wonder if I can interview someone who is interested? My deadline is this Friday. It is ok either to talk on the phone or via email. Thank you very much.

    Best Regards
    Xie, Lai

As a reporter for the Oriental Daily, the leading newspaper based in Hong Kong and a Chinese-language news website for overseas Chinese, I’ll be covering the election in Chicago, and thus would like to line up some interviews with some very interesting or dramatic supporters or volunteers, and of course, would welcome any possible Asian perspective.
I’ve been calling for weeks and couldn’t get help, so I solely rely on your help.
    Much thanks,
    Cheryl Tsui

Please show me where I can find this original statement:

Obama Statement on Human Rights in Vietnam

Chicago, IL - Barack Obama released the following statement about human rights in Vietnam :

“I strongly believe that the human rights record of the government of Vietnam remains unsatisfactory. Political opposition movements are prohibited, independent human rights organizations are banned, and the government continues to crack down on dissent by arresting political activists and disrupting opposition organizations. It is past time for the government of Vietnam to do far more to protect human rights and to advance the freedom of all of its people.”
