Norman Mineta: Obama Best Person to Write “New Chapter in American History”
Posted by Keith Kamisugi
A huge endorsement today of Barack Obama by Norman Mineta, the first Asian American appointed to the Cabinet, as Commerce Secretary in 2001, and then as the longest serving Secretary of Transportation (2001-2006).
“My parents came to this country because they knew that it was a place where individuals could pursue their own dreams and chart their own future,” said Mineta, who also served in Congress and as mayor of San Jose. “And like Barack Obama, I grew up in a home where we were taught that we have an obligation to leave the world a better place for our children and grandchildren, and for the eternity of future generations.”
“We are beginning a new chapter in American history, and I am convinced that Barack Obama is the best person to write it, that he can both change and unite America. That is why I am supporting Barack Obama to be President of the United States of America.”

Unless I sign a post on the AAA-Fund blog at its bottom, the post is not mine.

While I still like this article, I think there was an mistake close to the end of the first paragraph.
