Groundbreaking artist Shepard Fairey, creator of those awesome and now iconic Obama HOPE posters, MoveOn.org, and Upper Playground are producing an unprecedented artistic exhibition showcasing the work of artists that have used their talents to enhance, support, and transform the grassroots movement inspired by the Obama campaign.

The Manifest Hope Gallery will be housed at Denver’s Andenken Gallery (2990 Larimer Street, Denver, CO 80205) and open from 10 AM to 5 PM from Monday, August 25 through Thursday, August 28.  According to their website, "The Manifest Hope Gallery highlights the central themes of the
progressive grass-roots movement- Hope Change, Progress, Unity and
Patriotism."

Unfortunately, submissions from artists are now closed, but I’m personally looking forward to seeing the great and creative work these artists have offered for exhibition.  Five artists will be chosen from the field of submissions by a panel of judges including famed artists Ross Bleckner; April Gornik;
Eric Fischl; Shepard Fairey; musicians Moby; Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth; and
DJ Spooky; as well as Cydney Payton, executive director and chief curator of
MCA Denver; and Nancy Spector, author and Guggenheim Curator of Contemporary
Art.
