Poll Indicates California Asian Americans Now Favoring Obama

Curtis Chin just sent to us the Field Poll released today showing California respondents labeled "Asian/Other" now favoring Barack Obama by 36 percent to Clinton’s 32 percent. A huge number, 32 percent, favor someone else or are undecided.

This appears to show an incredible gain for Obama among Asian Americans after the same poll showed him trailing Clinton by 19 percent in mid-January.

Today’s poll results also show a dramatic change in the Bay Area support for Obama with support for him at 41 percent to Clinton’s 31 percent. This is up from the Jan. 22 poll showing him behind Clinton by seven points.
