Bobby Lee to Play McCain on MADtv

Comic Bobby Lee will play McCain in a segment on the season premiere of “MADtv” this Saturday night. The segment, “So You Think You Can Dance: President’s Edition,” features Bobby and Arden Myrin as Cindy McCain and Keegan-Michael Key and Erica Ash as Barack and Michelle Obama.
I’m going to TiVo this. But even before I watch it, I’m sure that MADtv’s choice to have Bobby Lee play McCain in a comedy sketch is a wiser one than the Real McCain’s decision to pick Sarah “I Don’t Know What the Bush Doctrine Is” Palin as a running mate.

I hope Bobby Lee can do McCain’s Gollum-like toothless grin too, preferably in front of a green screen.

I love Bobby Lee but after watching him play McCain, I had a mixed feeling.
Yeah, he moves oddly and can not type, but that’s mainly from his wound from being POW in Vietnam. He is old and seems outdated but is it only me to feel strange about Bobby making such fun of his condition? Politics aside, he fought for this country….?!

Bobby - I am fifty nine and this is one of the (deliberately) funniest things I’ve ever seen on TV.

I AM OR MAYBE WAS A FAN OF BOBBY LEE.
HE STEPPED ACCROSS THE LINE IN THE McCANE SKIT.
I AM A VIET NAM VET AND CARE DEEPLY FOR MY FELLOW VET’S. THE SKIT DEFAMED A WAR HERO THAT SUFFERED FROM YEARS OF TOURTURE IN A NORTH VIETNAMESE PRISON CAMP. HE HAS PHYSICAL DISABILITIES RESULTING FROM HIS POW EXSPERIANCES. HE SHOULD NOT BE MADE FUN OF.
I WOULD BET YOU HAVE NO VETS IN YOUR CAST AND HAVE NO TRUE FEELINGS FOR THOSE THAT HAVE SERVED AND ARE DISABLED.
HE WAS MY CHOICE FOR PRESIDENT BUT THE FAST TALKING CUTE BOY EVENTUALY ONE. I THINK HE BOUGHT THE VOTE. YOU SHOULD DO A SKIT ABOUT THAT!
